To start preparing the wholesome mixed lentil adai, soak the lentils and rice in water for about 4 hours.
After soaking, drain the water completely and transfer the soaked and drained ingredients to a blender.
Add red chillies, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, asafoetida, and turmeric powder to the lentils and rice mixture in the blender.
Grind the mixture to a coarse batter with a thick consistency.
The batter should have a thicker consistency compared to regular dosa batter.
