If you have leftover idlis, cut each idli into 6-7 pieces. if you don't have leftover idlis, prepare idlis from the idli batter and let them cool for about 30 minutes.

Heat a shallow fry pan and add a teaspoon of oil. place the idli pieces in the pan and shallow fry them until they become crisp and golden brown on the base.

Alternatively, you can shallow fry whole idlis until they turn light brown and then cut them into 6-7 pieces.

In another wide pan, heat the remaining oil. add chopped onions and fry until they become crispy.

Add the chopped green capsicum and fry until it becomes tender.
