To prepare the maharashtrian kokum spiced drink (kokum saar), take a saucepan and add kokum juice, water, and jaggery to it.

If using unsalted kokum juice, add salt as per your taste.

Heat the mixture on low flame until the jaggery dissolves completely. make sure not to bring the kokum saar to a boil.

While the kokum saar is gently simmering, let's prepare the seasoning.

In a small tadka pan, heat ghee.
