To begin preparing the jackfruit medley, start by cutting the raw jackfruit. to do this, grease your hands and the knife with some oil to prevent the natural fruit latex/sap from sticking to your hands during the cutting process.
Keep a bowl of water mixed with some salt ready to place the cut raw jackfruit pieces to prevent discoloration.
Once your hands and knife are well-greased, cut the jackfruit in half, discard the skin, and cut it into 1-inch pieces. soak these pieces in the salted water.
Place the jackfruit in a pressure cooker with 1/4 cup of water, turmeric powder, red chili powder, black pepper powder, and salt.
Pressure cook for 1 whistle and then turn off the heat. allow the pressure to release naturally.
