To begin making the creamy lilva beans kheer, wash the lilva beans and pressure cook them with enough water for just one whistle. allow the pressure to release naturally.
Once the pressure is released, drain the beans from the water and keep them aside. ensure that the lilva beans are not cooked to a mushy consistency.
If desired, you can de-skin the lilva beans to achieve a smoother texture in the kheer.
In a mixer-jar, add grated coconut, poppy seeds, and cardamom pods. add a very little amount of water and grind into a thick paste. set this paste aside.
Place a heavy-bottomed pan on low flame and add jaggery with a little water to dissolve it.
