To create the spiced papaya shrimp stew, start by washing, peeling, and cutting the green papaya into medium-sized pieces. set them aside.
Thoroughly wash and clean the shrimp under running water. strain and set them aside.
Heat 1 tablespoon of mustard oil in a non-stick pan. sautËúÖ the shrimp with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and turmeric for a few minutes until they turn pink and slightly firm. remove and set aside.
In the same pan, add an additional tablespoon of mustard oil and heat it.
Add bay leaves and after a few seconds, introduce the onion paste. sautËúÖ until the raw smell dissipates and the onion turns golden in color.
