Prepare the pasta: cook the whole wheat pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. drain and set aside.
Blanch and peel tomatoes: score a shallow "x" on the bottom of each tomato. boil water and blanch the tomatoes for about 1 minute. transfer them to cold water and peel off the skin. chop the tomatoes roughly.

Tomato tango: add the chopped tomatoes to the pan. allow them to break down and create a luscious sauce. simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
