In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, rice flour, cornstarch, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, carom seeds, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add water to the dry ingredients to form a smooth batter. the batter should have a thick consistency that coats the back of a spoon.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
Dip each spinach leaf into the batter, making sure it is coated evenly.
