To prepare creamy coconut-almond poached pears, start by peeling the skin of the pears while keeping the stems intact.
In a saucepan, combine the coconut milk, coconut sugar, cinnamon stick, and cardamom pods. place it over low heat and let it warm up gently. avoid boiling the coconut milk.
Add the peeled pears and slivered almonds to the saucepan, and gently poach them in the creamy coconut mixture for about 20 minutes. stir the pears gently once during the poaching process.
After around 20 minutes, when the pears' pulp is lightly softened, turn off the heat.
Transfer the poached pears to a serving platter, and generously pour the spiced creamy coconut sauce over the pears.
