To begin making red rice poha with coconut and cashew nuts, rinse the red rice poha in running water and soak it in hot water for about 8 minutes.
Drain the poha and wash it again with cold water. keep it aside in a strainer to remove excess water.
In a pan, heat 2 teaspoons of sunflower oil. add mustard seeds, split urad dal, and split chana dal. let them splutter.
Add a pinch of asafoetida and curry leaves to the pan. allow them to crackle and release their aroma.
Now, add the cashew nuts to the pan and saut„© them until they turn golden brown.
