To prepare instant spiced colocasia pickle, start by pressure cooking the colocasia (arbi) for just one whistle in a pressure cooker.
After cooking, peel off the skin from the colocasia slices and cut them into thick rounds. set them aside.
In a wide pan, heat the mustard oil until it starts to smoke slightly.
Once the oil is hot, add asafoetida (hing), cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, and nigella seeds. allow them to splutter for a few seconds.
Lightly crush the carom seeds (ajwain) between your palms and add them to the pan as well.
