To begin making udupi style fresh coriander kadhi (kottambari tambuli), whisk the yogurt to a smooth consistency in a large bowl.
Add about 3 cups of water, mix well, and set it aside.
Heat a teaspoon of oil in a small kadai, add the cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
Once they splutter, add the green chili and coriander leaves. fry for a minute and then let it cool down.
Grind the fried coriander mixture along with grated coconut to a smooth paste using a mixer grinder and adding a little water.
