To prepare the honey-infused whole wheat buns, attach the dough hook to the stand mixer. in the bowl of the stand mixer, add both the whole wheat flour and all-purpose flour, active dry yeast, honey, salt, butter, and milk.
Start kneading the dough using the stand mixer until all the ingredients come together. if needed, add a little water to bring the dough together.
Once the dough forms a cohesive mass, knead it well for another 10 minutes. transfer the dough to a greased bowl.
Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and allow the dough to rise for about 2 hours, until it doubles in size.
After the first rise, divide the dough into 6 equal portions and shape them into smooth round balls. place these dough balls in a baking pan with side rims.
