How To Cook?

In a pan, heat 1 teaspoon of oil and add mustard seeds. once the mustard seeds start to crackle, add chana dal, curry leaves, cashew nuts, and ginger. saute until the chana dal turns golden brown.

Add rava (semolina) to the pan and roast it for a few minutes until it turns aromatic.

Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool down. then, add salt and mix well.

Once the mixture has cooled, add curd (yogurt) and mix well. set it aside for 30 minutes to allow the rava to absorb the curd.

After 30 minutes, add water to the mixture to achieve the consistency of idli batter. stir in baking soda and mix well.
