In a bowl or a large plate with a rim, take 1 cup of jowar flour. add 2 to 3 pinches of salt and mix it well with the flour. then add about 1/2 cup of hot water.
Use a spoon to mix the water with the jowar flour.
Add the remaining 1/4 cup of water and mix again. the total amount of water added may vary depending on the type of flour used, so adjust accordingly.
Once the heat is manageable, knead the dough with your hands.
Knead the dough thoroughly. if the dough feels sticky or pasty, add some more jowar flour. cover the dough and let it rest until it reaches room temperature.
